Hunting: An American Legacy at Risk
Hunting is more than sport; it’s a cornerstone of American culture. It’s how we connect with nature, respect the land, and pass down values like responsibility, patience, and self-reliance. But here’s the hard truth: hunting doesn’t pass itself down—it’s taught.
Generations of hunters learned in the woods with their fathers, grandfathers, or mentors. Yet today, over 25% of kids grow up in single-parent households—homes where time and resources are stretched to the limit. For these kids, there’s often no one to introduce them to hunting, and they miss out on something far greater than just a tradition.

From Feeling Left Out to Finding Purpose
One of our founders knows this struggle firsthand. Raised by a single mom who worked tirelessly to provide, he never had the chance to go hunting as a kid. He remembers sitting in school, feeling out of place as classmates swapped stories of deer seasons and duck blinds.
It wasn’t until age 27 that he finally got to hunt—and it changed everything. He found purpose in the outdoors, respect for the process, and a connection to something timeless. That experience inspired him to create Killing for Kids to ensure other kids wouldn’t have to wait that long to discover the life-changing power of hunting.

Our Mission: 1,000 Kids in the Woods
Through Killing for Kids, we’re on a mission to get 1,000 kids from single-parent households into the woods for their first hunting experience.
By donating 2% of every dollar you spend to nonprofit organizations focused on youth hunting programs, we’re helping kids learn not just how to hunt, but where food comes from, how ecosystems work, and what it means to be a steward of the land.

Why It Matters
Hunting teaches more than survival—it builds character. Kids who hunt develop confidence, discipline, and a deep respect for nature. For kids without access to these experiences, we’re stepping in to give them the tools to discover a passion, build memories, and carry on a tradition that has shaped generations.
